Lisa - THANK YOU for those wise words. It's not the first time it's been suggested that I need to get out of my head. It may be the prototypical "If I had $1 for every..." example for me, actually.

And bgddyjim - two months, eek! I'll see... new to the trainer. But in this weather, I may be able to get outside! Thanks for the well-wishing. :)

Shoot for doing number three in a two months (it's not too hard if you schedule it well).

I don't mean to pry or push, I'm just big on not selling oneself short... I'm a don't sweat the small stuff guy and it's all small stuff till you hit the finish line. Good luck in your year.

I'm very easily derailed. I ran across these words a couple of days ago and I'm keeping them at the front of my mind:

Here's the key: if you want to follow through on something, stop thinking.

Shut down the conversation that goes on in your head before it starts. Don't take the bait. Stop arguing with yourself.

It sounds like you achieved miraculous things, to me, given your work and commute and all the great things you do. But I understand the feeling of knowing you could have done more if the focus had been there. And contingency planning can help with that.

I'm still not sure what my goals are for 2012. Work has already gotten in the way of even thiking about it! ;)
